illustrate
LMV1088 amplify the near-field voice signal within 4 cm of the microphone, while rejecting far-field noise greater than 0.5 meters of the microphone. Far-field rejection of up to 20dB is possible in a properly configured and calibrated system.
Some PowerWise ® energy-efficient solutions in the home LMV1088 consume 1mA of supply current, while DSP solutions that consume more than 10 times the power provide superior performance.
A quick calibration during manufacturing testing allows LMV1088 to complement the entire microphone system. This calibration includes microphone gain and frequency response, as well as acoustic path difference mismatch. The EEPROM stores the calibration coefficients on the LMV1088 board. Calibration starts with I2C command or pin control.
The dual microphone inputs are differential to provide superior immunity to interference. Microphones with internal low-noise bias supplies are biased.
