The AD5535 is a 32-channel, 14-bit DAC with a built-in high-voltage output amplifier. The device is targeted for optical microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). The output voltage range can be programmed via the REFIN pin. The output range is 0 V to 50 V when REFIN = 1 V; The output range is 0 V to +200 V when REFIN = 4 V. Each amplifier can provide a current output of 700 μA, which is particularly suitable for deflecting and controlling optical MEMS mirrors. The output amplifier has a gain G = 50 and is driven by a 14-bit DAC with a DAC output range varying from 0 to VREF, depending on the code loaded into the relevant DAC register. The selected DAC registers are written via a three-wire interface. The serial interface is capable of operating at clock rates up to 30 MHz and is compatible with DSP and microcontroller interface standards.
The operating parameters of the device are as follows: AVCC = 4.75 to 5.25V, DVCC = 2.7 V to 5.25 V, V- = -4.75 to -5.25 V, V+ = +4.75V to +5.25 V, VPP = 210 V. A stable reference is required on the REF_IN pin REF_IN buffered internally of the AD5535.
