AD589It is a two-pin, low cost, temperature compensated bandgapVoltage referenceA fixed output voltage of 1.23 V can be provided from an input current of 50 μA to 5.0 mA.
Its high stability depends primarily on the matching and thermal tracking characteristics of the on-chip devices. The device combines ADI's precision bipolar processing with thin-film technology to achieve excellent performance at a lower cost.
In addition, the output impedance generated by the active circuit is 10 times lower than that of a typical low temperature coefficient Zener diode. With this feature, the device operates without external components and maintains full accuracy under varying load conditions.
The AD589 is available in seven variants. The AD589J/K/L/M GRADE IS SPECIFIED OVER THE 0°C to +70°C temperature range and the AD589S/T/U grade is -55°C to +125°C. All grades are available in a metal cap shell (H-02A) package. The AD589J is also available in an 8-lead SOIC package.
