The AD7091R-2/AD7091R-4/AD7091R-8 series are multi-channel, 12-bit, ultra-low-power, successive approximation analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) with 2/4/8 analog input channel options. The AD7091R-2/AD7091R-4/AD7091R-8 operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.25 V supply with a sample rate of up to 1 MSPS. The AD7091R-2/ AD7091R-4/AD7091R-8 has a built-in wide-bandwidth sample-hold amplifier that can handle input frequencies within 1.5 MHz. The AD7091R-2/AD7091R-4/AD7091R-8 also features an on-chip conversion clock, an on-chip precision 2.5 V reference, and a high-speed serial interface.

The AD7091R-2/AD7091R-4/AD7091R-8 series features up to 8 single-ended analog inputs with channel sequencers, which can be pre-programmed to select the channel conversion sequence.

The AD7091R-2/AD7091R-4/AD7091R-8 integrates a serial port interface (SPI) to read data after conversion while having a 1 MSPS throughput rate. The conversion process and data acquisition are controlled using CONVST pins.

The AD7091R-2/AD7091R-4/AD7091R-8 series features advanced design technology that enables extremely low power consumption at high throughput rates. Flexible power management options are also available. The on-chip configuration register allows the user to set different operating conditions. They include power management, alarm functions, busy indication, channel timing, and universal output pins. The MUXOUT and ADCIN pins allow the ADC to condition the output signal of the multiplexer before it acquires it.
