The AD7091R-5 is a 12-bit, multichannel, ultralow power, successive approximationAnalog-to-digital converters(ADC)。 The AD7091R-5 operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.25 V supply and typically consumes only 24 μA in fast mode and at 3 V.
The AD7091R-5 provides a 2-wire serial interface compatible with the I2C interface. The conversion process can be controlled by sampling mode (via the CONVST pin), automatic cyclic mode (selected by software control), or command mode, in which each I2C write initiates a conversion.
The device includes a wide bandwidth sample-and-holdamplifierto handle input frequencies up to 1.5 MHz. The AD7091R-5 also provides an on-chip conversion clock, a precision 2.5 V on-chip reference, and programmable overrange user alerts.
The AD7091R-5 provides four single-ended analog input channels with channel sequencers, and the channel conversion sequence can be pre-programmed to select.
The AD7091R-5 uses advanced design techniques to achieve very low power dissipation without compromising performance. Flexible power management options are also available. On-chip configuration registers allow the user to set different operating conditions. They include power management, alarm functions, busy indication, channel timing, and general-purpose output pins. The MUXOUT and ADCIN pins allow conditioning before the ADC acquires the output signal from the multiplexer.
