The ADG3257 is a CMOSBus switch, built-in four 2:1 multiplexers/Demultiplexerto provide a high impedance output. It is manufactured on a CMOS process and features low power consumption, high switching speed, and very low on-resistance. The input can be connected to the output without adding propagation delay or creating additional ground bounce noise.
The ADG3257 operates from a single 3.3 V/5 V supply. The control logic for each switch is described in the "Truth Table" of the data sheet. Under the on condition, these switches are bidirectional. Under the disconnected condition, the signal level that reaches the supply voltage is prevented.
This bus switch is suitable for both switching and level shifting applications. When operating from a 3.3 V supply, it can be used in applications that require the conversion of a 3.3 V level to a 2.5 V level. Also, if you combine a diode with 5 V VDDIn series, the ADG3257 can also be used in applications requiring 5 V to 3.3 V level translation.
