ADG5208F
and ADG5209F are 8:1 and dual 4:1 analog multiplexers, respectively. The ADG5208F switches one of the eight inputs to the common output, and the ADG5209F switches one of the four differential inputs to the common differential output. Both devices provide an EN input to enable or disable the device. When turned on, each channel conducts equally in both directions, and the input signal range extends to the supply voltage range. The digital inputs are compatible with the 3 V logic inputs over the entire operating voltage range.
When there is no power supply, the channel remains off and the switch input is in a high-impedance state. Under normal operating conditions, if the analog input signal level on either Sx pin exceeds VDD or VSS, and the excess reaches the threshold voltage VT, the corresponding channel is turned off and the drain pin is pulled to the exceeded supply voltage. Input signal levels of −55 V or +55 V relative to ground are blocked, with or without supply.
The low capacitance and charge injection characteristics of these switches make them an ideal solution for data acquisition and sample-and-hold applications that require low switching glitches and fast settling times.
Product features
- The source pins are protected against overvoltages up to −55 V and +55 V above the supply rail.
- The overvoltage protection range of the source pin is −55 V to +55 V when no power supply is present.
- Channel isolation prevents latch-up.
- Optimized for low charge injection and on-capacitance.
- ADG5208F/ADG5209FIt can operate from dual supplies ± 5 V (up to ±22 V) or 8 V (up to 44 V) from a single supply.
