The ADG5436F is an analog multiplexer with two independent optionsSingle pole, double throw (SPDT) switch。 The EN input is used to disable all switches. Both switches are open-before-close for multiplexer applications.
When turned on, each channel conducts equally in both directions, and the input signal range extends to the supply voltage range. The digital inputs are compatible with the 3 V logic inputs over the entire operating voltage range.
When there is no power supply, the switch remains off and the channel inputs are in a high-impedance state. Under normal operating conditions, if the analog input signal level on either Sxx pin exceeds V
DDor V
SS, and if the amplitude exceeds the threshold voltage VT, the channel shuts down and the Sxx pin becomes high impedance. If the channel is open, the drain pin reacts based on the drain response (DR) input pin. If the DR pin is suspended or pulled high, the drain remains high impedance floating. If the DR pin is pulled low, the drain is pulled above the rail level. Input signal levels of +55 V or −55 V relative to ground are blocked, with or without power. The low on-resistance of the ADG5436F, which remains flat over a considerable signal range, makes it an ideal solution for data acquisition and gain switching applications that require excellent linearity and low distortion performance.
Note that throughout the data sheet, dual-function pin names refer only to the applicable relevant function. Complete pin names and descriptions can be found in the Pin Configuration and Function Description section.
Product features
- The source pins are protected against overvoltages up to −55 V and +55 V above the supply rail.
- The overvoltage protection range of the source pin is −55 V to +55 V when no power supply is present.
- Overvoltage detection provides a digital output indicating the operating status of the switch.
- Channel isolation prevents latch-up.
- Optimized for low on-resistance and on-resistance flatness.
- The ADG5436F can operate from dual supplies of ±5 V (up to ±22 V) or from a single supply of 8 V (up to 44 V).
