The ADIS16203 is a complete single-axis, 360° tilt measurement system that utilizes ADI iSensor™ integration technology to integrate it into a monolithic compact package. Enhancing ADI's® iMEMS sensor technology with embedded signal processing solutions, the ADIS16203 provides factory-calibrated and adjustable digital sensor data in a simple SPI serial interface. The SPI interface acquires measurement data for the following parameters: linear tilt angle, temperature, power supply and auxiliary analog input. Easy access to calibrated digital sensor data provides developers with system-ready equipment, saving development time, cost and project risk.
With several built-in features, including self-zero calibration with a single register command and configurable sample rate and frequency response, the resulting system is prone to unique performance.
The ADIS16203 also provides a range of features that further reduce the hardware complexity of the system design. These integrated features include configurable alarm functions, auxiliary 12-bit analog-to-digital converter, auxiliary 12-bit digital-to-analog converter, configurable digital I/O ports, and digital self-test functions. The ADIS16203 provides two different sets of power management features that are enabled through the SPI port; Programmable duty cycle sleep modes are provided for systems that do not require continuous operation, and low-power modes are provided for systems that reduce sample rates for higher efficiency.
The ADIS16203 is available in a 9.2mm x 9.2mm × 3.9mm LGA package and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
