The ADP1614 is a boost
DC-DC switching converters, integrated power switch, capable of providing output voltages up to 20V. The ADP1614 has a pin-adjustable current limit set by an external resistor that fixes the boost switching frequency at 650kHz or 1.3MHz. In addition, the ADP1614 offers a fixed 3A current limit and a pin-selectable frequency. With a package height of only 0.8 mm, the ADP1614 is ideal for space-constrained applications such as portable devices and thin-film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal displays (LCDs).
The ADP1614 operates in current mode pulse width modulation (PWM) with efficiency ratios up to 94%. Adjustable soft-start prevents inrush current when the device is enabled. The PWM current-mode architecture provides excellent transient response, easy noise filtering, and allows the use of small, cost-saving external inductors and capacitors. Other important features include undervoltage lockout (UVLO), thermal shutdown (TSD), and logic control enable.
The ADP1614 is available in a lead-free, 10-lead lead-architecture chip-scale package (LFCSP).
