illustrate
DAC121C081 is a 12-bit, single-channel, voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that operates from a +2.7 V to 5.5V supply. The output amplifier allows rail-to-rail output swing and an 8.5μsec settling time. DAC121C081 supply voltage used as a reference provides the widest dynamic output range, with a typical power consumption of 132μA while operating at 5.0V. It is available in 6-pin TSOT and LLP packages and offers three address options (pin optional).
As an alternative, DAC121C085 offers 9 I 2 Comet resolution options and uses an external datum. It has the same performance and DAC121C081 of stabilization time. It is on an 8-pin MSOP.
DAC121C081 and DAC121C085 use a 2-wire, i 2C compatible serial interface, which operates in all three speed modes, including high-speed mode (3.4MHz). The external address selection pin allows up to three DAC121C081 or 900 DAC121C085 per 2-wire bus device. The DAC121C081 is a pin-compatible alternative that can provide additional address options.
Each DAC121C081 and DAC121C085 have a 16-bit register for controlling the operating mode, power-down status, and output voltage. Power-on reset circuit to ensure the DAC's output power up to zero volts. The power-down function reduces power consumption by less than one microwatt. Their low power consumption and small package make these DACs an excellent choice for using battery-powered devices. Each DAC operates from -40°C to an extended industrial temperature range of +125°C
DAC121C081 and DAC121C085 are 8 and 10-bit resolutions, and pin-compatible DAC series are also available for each part of the DAC family. The 8-bit DAC sees DAC081C081 and DAC081C085. 10-bit DAC sees DAC101C081 and DAC101C085.
