TheLM2936 ultra-low quiescent current regulator features low dropout in standby mode and low current. With a quiescent current of less than 15μA and a 100μA load, the LM2936 is ideal for use in automotive and other battery-powered systems. The LM2936 retains all the features and is a common low-dropout regulator, including low-dropout PNP adjustment, short-circuit protection, reverse battery protection, and thermal shutdown. The LM2936 has a 40V maximum operating voltage limit in the -40°C to +125°C operating temperature range, ± 3% output over the entire output voltage tolerance current, input voltage, temperature range. The LM2936 is available in TO-92, SO-8 and SOT-23 surface-mount packages, and TO-252 surface-mount power packages.
