The LM3480 is an integrated linear regulator. It features such as 30V and 1.2V input operation with a guaranteed maximum load of 100 mA. The standard package for the LM3480 is a 3-conductor SuperSOT ® package.

The 5, 12 and 15V LM3480 family members are intended as tiny replacements for the industry standard LM78LXX series and similar devices. The LM3480 family of devices has a low dropout of 1.2V accuracy, making them 2 to 2.5V dropouts in it LM78LXX many applications that their (LM78LXX series devices) use are well suited.

The LM3480 series features a 3.3V member. The LM3480 series of SOT packages and quasi-low drop characteristics converge in this device to provide a very good, very tiny 3.3V, 100 mA bias power supply with 5V ± 5% power supply for a direct-shutdown system.
