illustrate
The DAC122S085 is a full-featured, universal dual 12-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that can operate from a single +2.7 V to 5.5V supply, consuming 3V 0.6 MW at 5V and 1.6 MW. The DAC122S085 is available in a package, 10-pin LLP and MSOP package. The 10-pin LLP package makes the DAC122S085 the smallest dual-channel DAC in its class. The on-chip output amplifier allows rail-to-rail output swings and a three-wire serial interface to clock rates up to 40 MHz over the entire supply voltage range. Competitive devices are limited to a clock rate of 25 MHz with a limited supply voltage ranging from 2.7V to 3.6V. SERIAL INTERFACES COMPATIBLE WITH STANDARD SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE AND DSP INTERFACES.
The reference for the DAC122S085 provides all four channels and can change the voltage by 1VandV one, providing as much output dynamic range as possible. The DAC122S085 has a 16-bit input shift register that controls the output, operating mode, power-down conditions, and binary input data to be updated. Two outputs, which can be updated simultaneously or separately, depend on the setting of the operands of both modes.
The power-on reset circuit, which ensures that the DAC's output power is up to zero volts, still exists until there is a valid write device. The power-down feature reduces power consumption less than microwatts with three different termination options.
The low power consumption and small package of the DAC122S085 make it an excellent choice for battery-powered devices.
The DAC122S085 is a pin-compatible DAC family that includes the 8-bit DAC082S085 and the 10-bit DAC102S085. The DAC122S085 operates over the extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
