illustrate
The LMS5214 is a μCap, low dropout regulator with a very low quiescent current of 110μA typical at 80 mA load. It also has a very low dropout voltage, typically at light loads and 80mA at 300mV for 2mV.
The LMS5214 is an enhanced version of the industry standard LMS5213 with auto-discharge capability that actively discharges the output voltage when the device is placed in shutdown mode. It can deliver up to 80mA and consume a typical 10nA in disabled mode, which helps extend battery life.
LMS5214 is a ceramic capacitor optimized for operation with low added value and low cost. The output typically requires only a regulated output capacitor of 470nF. The enable pin can be connected to V for easy device layout.
The low ground current at full load and in a small package makes the LMS5214 ideal for applications requiring battery-powered devices with small space.
The LMS5214 is available in a space-saving 5-pin SC70 package. Performance is specified over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range and fixed voltages of 2.5V, 2.6V, 2.8V, 2.9V, 3.0V, and 3.3V. For other output voltage options, contact National Semiconductor.
