The LMV393 and LMV339 are compared to the LM393/339, which are specified in the 5-30V low-voltage (2.7-5V) version. The LMV331 is a single version, which is available, saving space in the 5-pin SC70 and 5-pin SOT23 packages. The 5-pin SC70 is a 5-pin SOT23 about half the size.
The LMV393 is available with an 8-pin SOIC and MSOP. The LMV339 is available with a 14-pin SOIC and TSSOP.
The LMV331/393/339 are the most cost-effective solutions for space, low voltage, low power consumption and price all of the main specifications for portable consumer circuit design. They provide specifications that meet or exceed a fraction of the supply current of familiar LM393/339.
The chip is the establishment of the national advanced submicron silicon gate BiCMOS process. The LMV331/393/339 have bipolar input and output stages to improve noise performance.
