The LMZ10504 SIMPLE SWITCHER ® power module is a complete, easy-to-use dc-to-dc solution for lifting to a load capability of 4A with excellent power conversion efficiency, output voltage accuracy, line and load regulation. The LMZ10504 is an innovative package that improves thermal performance and is allowed by welding manipulators.
The LMZ10504 accepts input voltage rails between 2.95V and 5.5V and provides adjustable output voltages down to 0.8V and high accuracy. One MHz fixed frequency PWM switch provides a predictable EMI characteristic. Two external compensation elements can be adjusted to set for the fastest response time while allowing the choice of ceramic and/or electrolytic output capacitors. An externally programmable soft-start capacitor facilitates controlled start-up. The LMZ10504 is a reliable and robust solution with lossless cycle-by-cycle peak current limit protection against overcurrent or short-circuit faults, thermal shutdown, input undervoltage lockout, and prebias startup.
