Product Introduction

The purpose of the UCC3581 voltage mode pulse width modulator is to control low-power isolated DC - such as user line power (ISDN I.430) application DC converters. Primarily used in single-tube forward and flyback converters, UCC3581 functional BiCMOS low-start-up and operating current circuits while maintaining a frequency capable of driving power MOSFETs up to 100kHz. In UCC3581 oscillators can be flexibly planned for frequencies and maximum duty cycles with two resistors and capacitors. A TTL level input is also provided to allow synchronization to an external frequency source.

The UCC3581 includes programmable soft-start circuitry, overcurrent detection, a 7.5V linear preconditioner to control the chip VDD during start-up and an on-board 4.
