illustrate
The LM20323 is a full-featured 500kHz synchronous buck regulator capable of delivering up to 3A of load current. External current-mode control loop compensation, consisting of only two parts, provides both high performance and ease of use. The device is optimized for operation from a 4.5V to 36V input voltage range, making it suitable for high voltage systems.
The device features internal overvoltage protection (OVP) and overcurrent protection (OCP) circuitry to improve system reliability. An enable pin and integrated undervoltage lockout allow a precision device to be tightly controlled and sequencing turned on. Both a fixed internal and externally adjustable soft-start circuit limits the inrush current at startup. Possible with integrated power good (PGOOD) circuit fault detection and power sequencing.
The LM20323 is working on a multirail power architecture. The output voltage of the device can be configured to track a higher voltage rail, using SS/TRK pins. If the output of the LM20323 is prebiased when it is turned on, it does not sink current and pull the output low until the internal soft-start ramp exceeds the voltage feedback pin.
The LM20323 is a 20-pin eTSSOP package with an exposed pad that can be soldered to a PCB, eliminating the need for bulky heat sinks.
