Allegro® A1205Hall-effect bipolar switchIt is a next-generation replacement and continuation of the popular Allegro A3134 bipolar switch. The A1205 has the same specifications as the A1201, but is recommended for pulses that require a pulse VCC Applications to save electricity. For standard applications, if VCC Constant, refer to the A1201 to A1204 devices.
Manufactured using BiCMOS technology, the A120x family includes continuous-operating devices featuring fast power-up and low-noise operation. Device programming occurs after the package to remove bias caused by package stress and ensure higher switchpoint accuracy. Unique Hall element geometry and low offset amplifiers help minimize noise and residual offset voltages typically caused by device overmolding, temperature surges, and thermal stress.
The A120x Hall-effect bipolar switch contains the following components on a single silicon chip: voltage regulator, Hall voltage generator, small signal amplifier, Schmitt trigger, and NMOS output transistor. An integrated voltage regulator allows operation between 3.8 and 24 volts. Extensive on-board protection circuitry enables an absolute maximum voltage rating of ±30 volts, providing superior protection for automotive and motor rectification applications without the need for additional external components.
