for DC motorsPulse width modulation(PWM) current control design, the A3959SB, A3959SLB, and A3959SLP are capable of delivering output current to ±3 amperes and operating at 50 volts. Internal fixed downtimePulse width modulation(PWM) current-controlled timing circuitry can be adjusted with control inputs to operate in low, fast, and mixed current attenuation modes.
The Phase and Enable inputs are used to control the speed and direction of DC motors with PWM control signals applied externally. Internal synchronous rectification control circuitry is used to reduce power consumption during pulse-width modulation (PWM) operation.
Internal circuit protection includes thermal shutdown due to hysteresis, overvoltage monitoring of the power supply and charge pump, and crossover current protection. No special power-on sequencing is required.
The A3959SB/SLB/SLP is available in three power packages, namely a 24-pin plastic dual in-line package (DIP) with copper batwing (package suffix 'B'), a 24-pin plastic SOIC with copper bat wings (package suffix 'LB'), and a thin (
