The AD5063 belongs to Analog DevicesnanoThe DAC family is a low power, single 16-bit, unbuffered voltage output DAC® that operates from a single 2.7 V to 5 V supply. The relative accuracy specification is ±1 LSB, which guarantees monotonicity of operation, and the differential nonlinearity (DNL) specification is ±1 LSB. The AD5063 is available in on-chip resistors and a 10-lead MSOP package that allows bipolar signals to be generated through the output amplifier. THE DEVICE FEATURES A VERSATILE 3-WIRE SERIAL INTERFACE CAPABLE OF OPERATING AT CLOCK RATES UP TO 30 UMHz and is compatible with standard spi, qspi,®™ microwire™, and dsp interfaces. The reference voltage of the AD5063 is provided through an external VREF pin. An on-chip reference buffer is provided. The above devices have one built-inPower-on reset circuit, ensure that the DAC output powers up to the midscale and remains at that level until a valid write is performed on the device. It also features a shutdown feature that typically reduces the device's power consumption to 300 nA (typical) at 5 V in shutdown mode and provides a software-selectable output load. Shutdown mode can be entered through the serial interface. The total unadjusted error of the device is less than 1 mV.
The device powers up with very low glitches.
