AD835It is a complete four-quadrant voltage output analog multiplier manufactured using an advanced dielectric-isolated complementary bipolar process. It generates a linear product of the X and Y voltage inputs with −3 dB output bandwidth of 250 MHz (small signal rise time of 1 ns). The full-scale (−1 V to +1 V) ramp-down time is 2.5 ns in 150 Ω standard RL, and the 0.1% settling time is typically 20 ns.
Its differential multiplication input (X, Y) and summation input (Z) are in a high-impedance state. The low impedance output voltage (W) can reach up to ±2.5 V and can drive loads as low as 25 Ω. A ±5 V power supply is used for normal operation.
The AD835 combines outstanding speed performance with ease of use and rich functionality. For example, in addition to allowing signals to be added to the output, the Z input amplifies the operating voltage of the AD835 by a factor of up to approximately 10. As a result, the multiplier has a very low product noise (50 nV/√Hz), which is much better than earlier products.
AD835It is available in an 8-pin PDIP package (N) and an 8-pin SOIC package (R) and is specified over the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.
