The HMC749LC3C is an integrated reset functionT-shaped trigger, supporting clock frequencies up to 26 GHz. In normal operation, if the reset pin is not set, the output switches to the previous state on the positive edge of the clock. In this way, the clock input can be divided into two parts. Asserting the reset pin forces the Q output low, regardless of the clock edge state (asynchronous reset bit). Inverting the clock input supports negative edge triggering applications. The HMC749LC3C also has an output level control pin VR, which can be used for loss compensation or signal level optimization.
All HMC749LC3C input signals are terminated to Vcc via 50Ω on-chip and can be AC or DC coupled. The inputs or outputs can be connected directly to a 50 Vc termination system, and DC blocking capacitors can be used if the terminated system is 50 Ω ground. The HMC749LC3C operates from a single +3.3V DC supply in a RoHS-compliant 3x3 mm SMT ceramic package.
