The HMC841LC4B is oneClass D triggers, supporting data rates up to 43 Gbps and clock frequencies up to 43 GHz. During normal operation, data is transferred to the output at the positive edge of the clock. Inverting the clock input enables negative edge triggering applications. The HMC841LC4B also integrates an output level control pin, VAC, which can be used for loss compensation or signal level optimization.
All input signals of the HMC841LC4B are terminated to on-chip ground at 50 Ω and can be AC or DC coupled. The differential outputs of the HMC841LC4B can be AC or DC coupled. The output can be connected directly to a 50 Ω ground termination system, and if a DC voltage is terminated to a non-ground DC voltage through 50 Ω, a DC blocking capacitor should be used. The HMC841LC4B operates from a single -3.3V DC supply and is available in a RoHS-compliant 4x4 mm SMT ceramic package.
