The HMC847LC5 is a 4:1Multiplexer, designed for 45 Gbps data serial applications. The multiplexer latches four differential inputs at the conversion point of the input clock. The device uses the rising and falling edges of a half-rate clock to transmit data serially. An on-chip 1/4 rate clock output is generated, synchronized to the data output of the HMC847LC5.
All clock and data inputs/outputs of the HMC847LC5 are CML and terminated to VCC via an on-chip 50 Ω, either DC or AC coupled. The inputs and outputs of the HMC847LC5 can be operated in differential or single-ended configurations. The HMC847LC5 also integrates an output level control pin, VCTRL, which can be used for loss compensation or signal level optimization. The VDCC pin controls the data output intersection and duty cycle. The HMC847LC5 operates from a single +3.3V supply and is available in a ROHS-compliant 5x5 mm SMT package.
