description
The ISL29120 is a low power, high sensitivity, integrated red, green, and blue light sensor with my 2C interface (SMBus compatible). Its state-of-the-art photodiode array provides an accurate red, green, and blue spectral response. The ADC rejects 50Hz and 60Hz flickering artificial light sources. A selectable range allows the user to optimize the sensitivity to suit a specific application. The ISL29120 is a sensing technology optimized for red, green and blue light elements in non-infrared environments (fluorescent lamps and LED lighting). When operating in an infrared-rich environment, blocking external IR filters should use precise measurements. In normal continuous operation, the ISL29120 consumes 70μA, reducing to 0.3μA power-down mode. In polling mode, the automatic power-down feature shuts down most of the devices after each ADC conversion. The ISL29120 supports both hardware and software interrupts. The interrupt threshold is user-programmable. Interrupt renewal reduces false triggers. Design supplies operate from 2.25V to 3.3V and I2C power supplies from 1.7V to 3.6V, and the ISL29120 operates above -40°C in the specified ambient temperature range of +85°C.XFPM-001MPG
