The ISL29033 is an integrated I2C interface (SMBus compatible) for ambient and IR-to-digital converters. Its advanced self-calibrating photodiode array simulates the human eye with excellent infrared rejection. The on-chip 16-bit ADC rejects the artificial light caused by 50Hz and 60Hz flickering. Lux range selection feature allows users to program optimized count/lux lux ranges. It can reduce power consumption by less than 0.3μA when shutdown.

ISL29033 supports software and hardware interrupts that remain valid until the host passes through the I2C interface and it clears. The ADC conversion function still does not stop after interrupting the assertion.

Designed with an I2C supply from 1.7V to 3.63V from 2.25V to 3.63V, the ISL29033 specifies the operation over an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
