ISL29033 is an integrated ambient and IR light-to-digital converter with I2C interface (SMBus compatible). Its advanced self-calibrating photodiode array simulates the human eye with excellent infrared rejection. The on-chip 16-bit ADC is capable of rejecting 50Hz and 60Hz flickering caused by artificial light sources. Lux range selection feature that allows the user to program to optimize the counting/illuminance lux range. It can reduce power consumption when shutdown is less than 0.3μA.

ISL29033 support software and hardware interrupts remain valid until the host passes through the I2C interface, which clears up. The ADC conversion function still does not stop the post-break assertion.

Designed with an I2C supply from 1.7V to 3.63V from 2.25V to 3.63V, ISL29033 specified operation in the ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
