illustrate
The LM3488 is a versatile low-side n-FET switching regulator for high performance controllers. This is suitable for use topologies that require low-end FETs such as boost, flyback, SEPIC, etc., in addition, the LM3488 can operate at very high switching frequencies to reduce overall solution size. The switching frequency of the LM3488 can be adjusted to any value between 100kHz and 1MHz, either by using an external resistor or synchronizing to an external clock. Current-mode control provides superior bandwidth and transient response, except for cycle-by-cycle current limiting. The output current can be programmed with a single external resistor.
The LM3488 has built-in features such as thermal shutdown, short-circuit protection, and overvoltage protection. A power-down shutdown mode reduces total supply current by 5μA and allows power sequencing. Internal soft-start limits inrush current at startup.
