illustrate
The LM87 is a highly integrated data acquisition system for hardware servers, PCs, or virtually any microprocessor-based system to monitor. On a PC, the LM87 can be used to monitor the supply voltage, motherboard and processor temperature, and fan speed. The actual value of these inputs can be read at any time. The LM87 programmable watchdog limits activation of a fully programmable and maskable interrupt output (INT# and THERM#) system.
The LM87 has an on-chip 8-bit resolution digital output temperature sensor with 2 external diodes with 8-bit resolution capability for temperature monitoring, an 8-channel analog input ADC with 8-bit resolution and an 8-bit DAC. The channel measures to the LM87 of the ADC, nominally 3.3 V The input of the two ADCs can be redirected to a counter that can measure the speed of up to 2 fans of the supply voltage. The slow, ΣΔADC architecture allows the measurement of stable signals in a very noisy environment. The DAC, with an output voltage range of 0 to 2.5 V, can be used for fan speed control. Provide chassis intrusion detection circuitry, and VID monitoring to invest more investment. The VID monitoring input can also be used as an IRQ input if VID monitoring is not required. The LM87 has a serial bus interface that is compatible with SMBus and me 2 comet ™ 。
