illustrate
The LP3853/LP3856 series of fast ultra-low dropout linear regulators operate from a +2.5 V to +7.0 V input supply. A wide range of preset output voltages are available. These ultra-low dropout linear regulators respond very quickly to intervene in the load, which makes them suitable for changes in low voltage microprocessor applications. The LP3853/LP3856 was developed on the CMOS process with low quiescent current, allowing operation independent of output load current. This also allows the CMOS process to operate the LP3853/LP3856 at extremely low differential pressure conditions.
Differential pressure: Ultra-low pressure difference; Typically 300mA load current is 3A load current and 390mV 39mV.
Ground pin current: Usually 4mA to 3A load current.
Shutdown mode: Typically, the shutdown pin is pulled low at 10nA of quiescent current.
^Error flag: ^When the error flag goes low, the output voltage drops below 10% of the nominal value.
SENSE: Needle feel improves at remote load regulation.
High accuracy output voltage: Multiple output voltages are available ranging from ± 1.5% accuracy guaranteed at room temperature from 1.8V to 5.0V and ± 3.0% in all conditions (different lines, loads and temperatures).
