The UCC3808 is a family of BiCMOS-based push-pull, high-speed, low-power, pulse-width modulators. Contains all the control and drive circuitry required for the UCC3808 to switch the power supply DC to DC fixed frequency current mode with a minimum number of external components.
The UCC3808 stage of the dual output driver is arranged in a push-pull configuration. Half of the oscillators of the two output switches use the frequency of a switching trigger. The dead time between the two outputs is typically 60 nanoseconds to 200 nanoseconds, depending on the values of the capacitance and resistance, limiting the duty cycle of each output stage to less than 50%.
The UCC3808 family offers a variety of package temperature ranges, undervoltage lockout levels, and options.
characteristic
- The dual output drive stage is in a push-pull configuration
- Typical starting current of 130 μA
- Typical operating current of 1 mA
- Operates to 1 MHz
- Internal soft start
- In an amplifier chip with a 2-MHz gain-bandwidth product error
- Clamping of on-chip VDD
- A 500 - mA peak current source in the output drive stage can sink 1 peak current
