The UCC3808 is a family of BiCMOS push-pull, high-speed, low-power, pulse-width modulators. Contains all control and drive circuitry required for UCC3808 offline or switching with a minimum number of external components, power supply, DC to DC fixed frequency current mode.
The UCC3808 stages of the dual output drivers are arranged in a push-pull configuration. Half of the oscillators of the two output switches use one switch flip-flop frequency. The dead time between two outputs, typically between 60 nanoseconds and 200 nanoseconds, depends on the values of capacitance and resistance, limiting the duty cycle of less than 50% per output stage.
The UCC3808 series offers a wide range of package temperature ranges, undervoltage lockout levels, and options.
characteristic
- The dual-output drive stage is in a push-pull configuration
- Typical starting current of 130 microamps
- Typical operating current of 1 mA
- Operates to 1 MHz
- Internal soft start
- In a chip with a 2-MHz gain bandwidth product error amplifier
- Clamping of VDD on the chip
- The 500-mA peak current source in the output drive stage is capable of absorbing current at a peak of 1
