illustrate
The LM48861 is a single-supply, ground-referenced stereo headphone amplifier. The LM48861 is part of National Semiconductor's PowerWise ® product family, consuming only 3MW of power but still delivering great audio performance. The ground-referenced architecture eliminates the need for larger DC blocking capacitors and traditional headphone amplifiers to save board space and cost.
The LM48861 features common-mode detection, correcting any discrepancies between the amplifier's ground and potential headphone return terminals, minimizing noise from any reason mismatches.
The LM48861 provides 22mW/channel Power requirements allow operation from 1.2V to 2.8V. The high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) at 217Hz is 83 dB, allowing the device to operate in noisy environments without additional power regulation. A low-power shutdown mode reduces supply current consumption to 0.01μA.
Advanced click suppression eliminates power-up/down and transient noises heard when off. The LM48861 is an ultra-small 12 solder ball, 0.4mm pitch micro SMD package (1.215mm x 1.615mm).
