A6269It is linear and programmableCurrent regulator, which can deliver up to 200mA from each of the two outputs to drive a high-brightness LED array. The regulated LED current for each output (accurate to 5%) is set by a single reference resistor. Without the use of ballast resistors, the current matching per string is better than 10%. The use of constant current drives LEDs to ensure safe operation and provide the maximum possible illumination output.
Provides output control by enabling input instructions to provide direct control for PWM applications; On/off toggle operation via debounce switch input.
Optimal performance is achieved by driving 1 to 3 LEDs in each string: up to 2 strings of 200 mA each. The outputs can be paralleled or idle as needed.
Provides short-circuit detection to protect the LED and A6269 when any LED output pin is shorted to ground. When the short circuit is eliminated, the output will automatically resume the regulated current.
Temperature monitors are included to reduce LED drive current if the die temperature exceeds an adjustable thermal threshold.
The device is available in an 8-pin SOICN (LJ) package with exposed heat shield for enhanced heat dissipation. It is packaged as a lead (PB) free product and features 100% matte tin leadframe plating.
