The A6269 is a linear, programmable current regulator that delivers up to 200mA from each of the two outputs to drive a high-brightness LED array. The regulated LED current (accurate to 5%) for each output is set by a single reference resistor. No ballast resistor is used, and the current match per string is better than 10%. The use of constant current drive LEDs ensures safe operation and provides the maximum possible illumination output.
Provides output control by enabling input commands, providing direct control for PWM applications; And the on/off toggle operation is performed through the debounce switch input.
Optimal performance is achieved by driving 1 to 3 LEDs in each string: up to 2 strings of 200 mA each. The output can be paralleled or idle as needed.
Short circuit detection is provided to protect the LEDs and the A6269 when any LED output pin is shorted to ground. After eliminating the short circuit, the output will automatically restore the regulated current.
The product includes a temperature monitor to reduce the LED drive current if the chip temperature exceeds an adjustable thermal threshold.
The device is available in an 8-pin SOICN (LJ) package with an exposed thermal panel for enhanced heat dissipation. It is packaged as a lead-free (Pb) product with a 100% matte tin plated pin frame.
