The HMC747 is a D-type trigger designed to support data rates up to 13 Gbps and clock frequencies up to 13 GHz. When working normally, data is transmitted to the output at the right edge of the clock. Inverting the clock input supports negative edge triggering applications. The HMC747 also offers an output level control pin VR for loss compensation and signal level optimization.
All input and output signals of the HMC747 are terminated to an on-chip Vcc at a Ω of 50 and support AC or DC coupling. The inputs and outputs can be connected directly to the 50 Ω Vcc termination system, while DC capacitors can be used if the 50 Ω termination is used to ground. The HMC747 operates from a single +3.3V DC supply and is available in a RoHS-compliant 3x3 mm SMT ceramic package.
