The HMC858LC4B is a 2:1 selector designed to support data rates up to 14 Gbps and selector port operating frequencies up to 14 GHz. The selector routes one of the two single-ended inputs to the differential output when the selected port is asserted. The HMC858LC4B also integrates an output level control pin, VR, which can be used for loss compensation or signal level optimization.
All differential input signals of the HMC858LC4B are terminated to on-chip ground at 50 Ω and can be AC or DC coupled. The output of the HMC858LC4B can operate in either differential or single-ended configurations. The output can be directly connected to a 50 Ω termination system, and DC blocking capacitors can be used if a 50 Ω terminated to a non-grounded DC voltage is used. The HMC858LC4B operates from a single -3.3V DC supply and is available in a RoHS-compliant 4x4 mm SMT ceramic package.
