The voltage regulators of the LM22675 series are monolithic integrated circuits, which are the positive functions of step-down (buck-buck) switching regulators that can drive 1A loads, and have excellent line and load regulation characteristics. The high efficiency (> 90%) is achieved by using a low-resistance N-channel MOSFET. The series consists of a fixed 5V output and an adjustable version.
SIMPLE SWITCHER ® The concept offers an easy-to-use complete design using a minimum number of external components and WEBENCH for national semiconductors ® Design tools. WEBENCH of National Semiconductor ® Tools include features such as external component calculations, electrical simulation, thermal simulation, and simple design, construction, and other boards. The switching clock frequency is made by an internal fixed-frequency oscillator, which is 500 kHz. The LM22675 series also features built-in thermal shutdown, current limiting, and enable control inputs that can adjust up and down the quiescent current standby state with a power as low as 25μA.
