The LM158 series consists of two independent high-gain, internally frequency-compensated op-amps designed for operation over a voltage range powered from a single supply. It is also possible to operate from splitting the power supply and the low supply current consumption is independent of the amplitude of the power supply voltage.

Applications include sensor amplifiers, DC gain modules, and all conventional op-amp circuitry that can now be easily implemented in a single-supply system. For example, the direct-to-operate LM158 series, which is used in digital systems, can be easily used without the need for an additional ± 15V supply supply to provide the required electronic interface standard +5 V supply voltage.

The LM358 and LM2904 are in a chip size package (8-bump micro SMD) using the country's micro SMD packaging technology.
