illustrate
The LM48510 integrates a high-efficiency mono, Class D audio power amplifier boost converter that delivers 1.2W continuous output power to an 8Ω speaker with a boost voltage of 3.3V for 5.0V (PV).1)Business. When operating from a 3.3V supply, the LM48510 is driving less than 1% THD+N at 1.7W with a continuous average output 4Ω speaker load capacity Class D amplifiers are low noise, filter PWM architectures that eliminate output filters, reduce external component count, board area consumption, system cost, and simplify design.
The LM48510's switching regulator is a current mode boost that operates in a 0.6MHz fixed frequency converter.
The LM48510 is designed for use in mobile phones and other portable communication devices. High efficiency (76%) extends battery life compared to boosting Class AB amplifiers. The LM48510 has a low-power shutdown mode. Shutdown enables the drive shutdown pin to be logic low (GND).
The Class D gain is externally configured to allow independent gain control by summarizing the signal from multiple sources. Output short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown protection prevent damage to the device during fault conditions. Superior click-and-pop suppression eliminates power-up and power-down sound transients.
