illustrate
LM48510 integrates high-efficiency mono, a Class D audio power amplifier boost converter that provides an 8Ω speaker with a continuous output power of 1.2W and a boost voltage of 5.0V (PV 1) with a boost voltage of 5.0V. When operating on a 3.3V supply, the LM48510 is driving a continuous average output of less than 1% THD+N at 1.7W with a 4Ω speaker load capacity Class-D amplifiers are low-noise, filtered PWM architectures that eliminate output filters, reduce the number of external components, consume board area, system cost, and simplify design.
The LM48510 switching regulator is a current mode boost that operates on a 0.6MHz fixed frequency converter.
LM48510 is designed for use in mobile phones and other portable communication devices. High (76%) efficiency extends battery life compared to boost Class AB amplifiers. The LM48510 has a low-power shutdown mode. Shutdown can enable the drive shutdown pin to Logical Low (GND).
For Class D gain, an external configuration allows independent gain control from multiple sources by summarizing signals. Output short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown protection prevent damage to equipment under fault conditions. Superior click and pop suppression eliminates power-up and shutdown sound transients.
