The LM48556 is a single-supply, mono, ceramic speaker with integrated charge pump drive, designed for portable devices such as cell phones, where board space is at a premium. The LM48556 charge pump allows the device to supply 17.5V from a single 4.5V supplyPP（typical). In addition, the charge pump has a soft-start function that minimizes transient current on the power supply.
The LM48556, on the other hand, has a high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of 80dB at 217Hz, allowing the device to operate in noisy environments without additional power regulation. Flexible power requirements allow operation from 2.7V to 5.0V. In addition, the LM48556 has differential input capability and externally set gain. A low-power shutdown mode consumes 0.1μA of supply current.
Superior click and pop suppression eliminates power-up/down and off when sound transients. The LM48556 is available in an ultra-small 12-ball micro SMD package (2mm x 1.5mm).
