The LP2980 is a 50 mA, fixed output voltage regulator designed to meet the requirements of battery-powered applications.
Using an optimized VIP (Vertically Integrated PNP) process, the LP2980 delivers unmatched performance in a wide range of specifications in battery-powered designs key to:
Voltage difference. Typically 120 mV @ 50 mA load, and 7 mV @ 1 mA load.
Ground pin current. Typically 375 μ A@ 50 mA load, and 80 μ A@ 1 mA load.
Sleep mode. The ON/OFF pin with quiescent current below 1μA is pulled down.
Minimal part count. Only 1μF of output capacitance from an external regulator is required.
Precision output. 0.5% tolerance output voltage (Class A).
Available as standard in 5.0V, 4.7V, 3.3V, 3.0V and 2.5V versions.
