LP38690/2 low-dropout CMOS linear regulators offer tight output tolerances (2.5% typical), very low dropout (450mV @ 1A load current, V OUT = 5V), and excellent AC performance with ultra-low ESR ceramic output capacitors.
The low thermal resistance LLP in SOT-223 and T0-252 packages enables the entire operating current, even when used in environments with high ambient temperatures.
The use of a PMOS power transistor means that the base drive current without DC is required to be biased to keep the ground pin current below 100μA regardless of load current, input voltage, operating temperature.
