AD7156BCPZ-REEL7 ultra-low power, 1.8 V, 3 mm × 3 mm, dual capacitiveconverter
The AD7156 uses an ultra-low power converter that responds quickly, providing a comprehensive signal processing solution for capacitive sensors.
The AD7156 uses Analog Devices' capacitance-to-digital converter (CDC) technology, which combines features that play an important role in the actual sensor interface, such as high input sensitivity, high input parasitic ground capacitance, and leakage current tolerance.
An integrated adaptive threshold algorithm compensates for any changes in sensor capacitance due to environmental factors such as humidity and temperature or aging insulation.
By default, the AD7156 operates in standalone mode with a fixed power-up setting and displays detection results with two digital outputs. The AD7156 can also be connected to a microcontroller through a serial interface, where internal registers can be programmed with user-defined settings, and data and status information can be read from the part.
The AD7156 operates from a supply voltage of 1.8 V to 3.6 V and is specified over the −40°C to +85°C temperature range.
