AD7291BCPZ-RL7 8-channel, I2C, 12-bit SAR ADC with built-in temperature sensor
The AD7291 is a 12-bit, high-speed, low-power, 8-channel, successive approximation ADC with a built-in temperature sensor. It operates from a single 3.3V supply and is equipped with an I2C® compatible interface. The sample-hold amplifier handles input signals up to 50 MHz, while the multiplexer can be used for 8-channel sampling.
Each AD7291 is available with a two-wire serial interface compatible with the I2C interface. It offers a programmable sequencer with the option of a pre-programmed channel sequence for conversion. The device has a 2.5 V on-chip reference that can be disabled in order to use an external reference.
The AD7291 has a built-in high-precision bandgap temperature sensor that is monitored and digitized by a 12-bit ADC to provide a resolution of 0.25°C. It features advanced design techniques that enable extremely low power consumption at high throughput rates. The device also offers flexible power/throughput rate management options in a 20-pin LFCSP package.
