The AD9837 is a low power,
Programmable waveform generator, capable of generating sine, triangle and square wave outputs. Waveform generators are required for various types of sensing, actuation, and time domain reflectometry (TDR) applications. The output frequency and phase are software programmable and easy to adjust. The frequency register is 28 bits: a resolution of 0.06 Hz can be achieved at a clock rate of 16 MHz; At a clock rate of 5 MHz, a resolution of 0.02 Hz can be achieved.
The AD9837 writes data through a 3-wire serial interface. The serial interface is capable of operating at clock rates up to 40 MHz and is compatible with DSP and microcontroller standards. The device operates from a 2.3 V to 5.5 V supply.
AD9837With SLEEP function. Unused parts of the device can be shut down to minimize power dissipation. For example, the DAC can be powered down when a clock output is generated.
The AD9837 is available in a 10-lead LFCSP_WD package.
