ADN8102 is a quad bidirectional CX4 cable/
Backplane equalizerwith eight PECL/CML compatible differential inputs and eight CML differential outputs; The inputs provide programmable equalization, and the outputs provide programmable output levels and pre-emphasis or de-emphasis. The device is optimized for NRZ data and operates at speeds up to 3.75 Gbps.
The receive input provides programmable equalization to compensate for up to 30 meters of CX4 cable (24 AWG) or 40-inch FR4; Programmable pre-emphasis is available to compensate for up to 15 meters of CX4 cable (24 AWG) or 40-inch FR4 (3.75 Gbps). Each channel also provides programmable loss-of-signal detection and self-looping for system test and debugging.
ADN8102 controlled via a switching pin, an I2C® control interface that provides more flexible control, or a combination of both. Each lane uses an asynchronous path and supports NRZ data rates from DC to 3.75 Gbps; The channels are independent of each other. The device features low latency and very low channel-to-channel skew.
ADN8102 primarily used to support inter-chassis switching applications on CX4 or InfiniBand® cables.
The ADN8102 is available in a 9 mm × 9 mm, 64-pin LFCSP (QFN) package and operates over the −40°C to +85°C temperature range.
