illustrate
The DAC101S101 is a full-featured, general-purpose 10-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that can operate from a single +2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and consume only 3.6 volts at only 175 μA. THE ON-CHIP OUTPUT AMPLIFIER ALLOWS RAIL-TO-RAIL OUTPUT SWINGS AND 3-WIRE SERIAL INTERFACE CLOCKING FREQUENCIES UP TO 30 MEGAHERTZ OVER SPECIFIED SUPPLY VOLTAGE RANGES AND IS COMPATIBLE WITH STANDARD SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, AND DSP INTERFACES. Competing devices clock rates up to 20 MHz, supply voltages are limited in the 2.7V to 3.6V range.
The supply voltage of the DAC101S101 is used as a reference voltage to provide as much output dynamic range as possible. Power-on reset circuitry ensures that the DAC output power is up to zero volts and persists until there is a valid write device. The power-down function reduces power consumption by less than one microwatt.
The low power consumption and small DAC101S101 package make it an excellent choice for battery-powered devices.
The DAC101S101 is a drop-in replacement of the AD5310, a pin-compatible family of DACs consisting of the 8-bit DAC081S101 and the 12-bit DAC121S101. The DAC101S101 operates an extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, while the DAC101S101Q exceeds the automotive grade of Grade 1 over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The DAC101S101 is a 6-pin TSOT and 8-lead MSOP and the DAC101S101Q is only 6-pin TSOT availabe.
