The LP2982 is a 50 mA, fixed output voltage regulator that offers ultra-low dropout and a low-noise design for battery-powered applications.
Using an optimized VIP (Vertically Integrated PNP) process, the LP2982 delivers unmatched performance in a wide range of specifications key to battery-powered designs:
Differential pressure: Typically 120 mV @ 50 mA load, and 7 mV @ 1 mA load.
Ground Pin Current: Typically 375 μ A@ 50 mA load, and 80 μ A@ 1 mA load.
Sleep mode: Pins are pulled down when quiescent current is on/off below 1μA.
Precision Output: Output voltage with a tolerance of 1.0% (Class A).
Low noise: By adding an external bypass capacitor, output noise can be reduced to 30 μV (typical).
Four output voltage versions, from 3.0V to 5.0V, are available as standard.
