DS25BR204 is a 3.125 Gbps high-speed signal routing and switching-optimized 1:4 LVDS repeater lossy FR-4 printed circuit board backplane and balanced cable. Fully differential signal paths ensure excellent signal integrity and noise immunity.

The device has two different LVDS input channels and a selection line to determine which input is active. The two inputs provide programmable equalization for maximum signal strength. The signal loss (^LOS) circuit monitors two input channels and a unique ^LOS pin when no signal is reported for input detection.

The wide input common-mode range allows the switch to accept LVDS, CML, and LVPECL level signals at the output level of LVDS. A very small package size requires minimal space in the board, and flow-through pins allow board design work to be easier. Each differential input and output is terminated with a 100Ω resistor to reduce the device's return loss, reduce the number of components, and further reduce board space.
