The AD7298 is a 12-bit, high-speed, low-power, 8-channel, successive approximation ADC with a built-in temperature sensor. It operates from a single 3.3V supply with a throughput rate of up to 1MSPS. The device has a built-in low-noise, wide-bandwidth sample-and-hold amplifier that can handle input frequencies above 70 MHz.

The AD7298 offers a programmable sequencer with the option of a pre-programmed channel sequence for conversion. The device has a 2.5 V on-chip reference that can be disabled in order to use an external reference.

The AD7298 has a built-in high-precision bandgap temperature sensor that is monitored and digitized by a 12-bit ADC to provide a resolution of 0.25°C. The device features a four-wire serial interface that is compatible with SPI and DSP interface standards.
